Luke 2:25

And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

There is an inscription concerning Simeon which has been found inscribed on Absolom's tomb in the Kidron Valley. The information is available here
The inscription reads:

kai idou anqrwpoV hn en ierousalhm w onoma sumewn, kai o anqrwpoV outoV dikaioV kai eulabhV, prosdecomenoV paraklhsin tou israhl, kai pneuma hn agion ep auton:
and is translated on that site to read:
"Simeon who was a very just man and a very devoted old (person) and waiting for the consolation of the people."
